So excited!

I'm so excited my hubby and I are off to Concord N.C. in the morning. We are going to The Depot at Gibson Mills. I'll try to take bunches of pictures!!!!! I hope to met Janna of Artsy Fartsy Finds. Time for bed(if I can sleep) Blessings!

Goodwill Lunch break

Yesterday during my lunch break I ran into goodwill, always finding some little treasure....Anyway here's a few things I purchased......

A beautiful brooch(You know my addiction Kim! )
And a huge Linen Cream tablecloth....

Work day...

new/old basket makeover....

I love the old antique baskets, but find them alittle pricey....So I dug into my stash closet. I bet you all have one of those! And found your typical basket....Well I'm not a typical kinda person, so let me tell you how I grunge up this typical basket.....This is so funny....I took white glue mixed it with flour until thick and smooth. I smeared it all over the basket and then decoupaged tissue paper on the basket. Then I painted it grey(if I would've had spray paint it would have saved alot of time) Then used a dry-brush technique with white paint......Still not grungy enough so I applied a stain and......Now you have it NOT YOUR TYPICAL BASKET! I loved the way it turned out especially filled with dried hydrangeas. Have a blessed day!!!!

I love outlets.......

Today we went to visit my mother-in-law and she took us to JC Penney outlet.....And look what I found for$9.99. A duvet cover and shams (king size) I couldn't pass up the deal you know how it is girls!!!! Its bark cloth it looks alot like burlap . My comforter now is chocolate brown and I thought this would brighten up for the spring/summer season.

Vintage flower cuff bracelet

Still at it...I'm in the mood for creating jewelry. I have been seeing these cuff bracelets and think they look adorable with jean jackets..maybe a crochet sweater underneath the jacket with a long flowing brown skirt and a pair of cowboy boots! I'm gonna see if I can gather that outfit up for church on Sunday!

Handcrafted linen brooch

I was messing around this morning picking up scrapes from my linen pillow I made yesterday and picked up part of the small ruffle that I had cut off. So off went the light bulb! Now this is not something new it's been around for a while... rosette brooches. So I made a brooch and put it on my jean jacket along with a belt I bought while out thriftin' $2.95 what a steal!
