Vintage flower cuff bracelet

Still at it...I'm in the mood for creating jewelry. I have been seeing these cuff bracelets and think they look adorable with jean jackets..maybe a crochet sweater underneath the jacket with a long flowing brown skirt and a pair of cowboy boots! I'm gonna see if I can gather that outfit up for church on Sunday!

Handcrafted linen brooch

I was messing around this morning picking up scrapes from my linen pillow I made yesterday and picked up part of the small ruffle that I had cut off. So off went the light bulb! Now this is not something new it's been around for a while... rosette brooches. So I made a brooch and put it on my jean jacket along with a belt I bought while out thriftin' $2.95 what a steal! Old villa linen pillow.

I can't believe I finished the pillow. Just let me say this. If I decide to sell them on etsy or my blog...I will cut the fabric, I'll even sew the small ruffle, I'll put the print on the fabric....I'll stuff it.. Sooooo! whats left.... sewing the pillow that was a nightmare! Next time...MOM HELP!

Yes it's still winter.

Yes , it's still winter here in southwestern Virginia. We are having some snow showers today but nothing like before. This is a picture of our first snow storm. I love my old shed one day I hope to renovate it into a potting shed. All kinds of animals find shelter there now!

When duty calls.

Just as I had gathered all my supplies for my weekly project.....The phone rings it's the restaurant calling my daughter came down with the flu and Dale (my better half) says......Honey we need you in the kitchen! So...when duty calls I answer. I have to work a double tomorrow at the restaurant, but hopefully I can begin my project Thurs. By the way I'm making a roll pillow with an old villa printed on it.... So French or should I say So Renaissance. I hope I can do this I'm really not a seamstress I contract my mother out for that. I can't wait to introduce you to her if shes not too shy. Patiently waiting for spring.

While out and about Friday I purchased this beautiful red wave petunia vine....gorgeous! Anyway... I've been thinking about this weather here in Virginia we've had some kind of winter. Actually as I recall this reminds me of the good ole' days when I was a child. Maybe we are getting back to the normal.....Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. What about in your area? But Gods in control he knows exactly what he's doing. God bless!
